About Us

The Enchanted Kitchen 'Yea Ole Apothacary' came about as a dream of Deborah 'Dani' Gauntz. In the beginning she combined two passions that had been passed down to her. The first was a love and a great talent for canning unique Jams, Jellies and Preserves. After winning many ribbons and a Ball award at the Cabarrus County Fair and then many ribbons and two Best Of Shows at the North Carolina State Fair she decided to have her kitchen inspected by the state so the she could legally produce and sale her wares. The second comes from family traditions and recipes that have been passed down for at least six generations. Dani is a sixth generation Apothacary and the family ways were taught to her by her grandmother and great aunt. These include a vast knowledge and natural awareness of the uses of herbs in creams, lotions, salves, tinctures, teas and many other products that she spends hours pouring her natural abilities, energies, and love into. She decided to turn these two passions into a business and took it on the road vending at any events she could. This allowed her to start building up an inventory. After building up a large enough inventory of her wares and eclectic supplies she opened up a metaphysical store and gave it a name that highlighted both of her passions. She is now at her third and largest location where she has room to carry all the inventory she wants the shop to have as well as room to have a small section set off for a Bio Feedback Aura camera, and an energy room for Reiki work, Crystal healing, and Intuitive tarot readings.
